Current Interfaith Minister Training ProgramThe Interfaith minister training program consists of twelve courses in the areas of world religions, ministerial functions, pastoral counseling, and ethics & leadership. This course of study is a requirement for those wishing to be ordained through United Interfaith Ministries. Once you have completed this program, you may request ordination through United Interfaith Ministries, however this is not a requirement. Completing the Interfaith minister training program does not guarantee ordination through United Interfaith Ministries, however it is a required step in the ordination process. Ordination through United Interfaith Ministries requires that the following criteria be met: · You must be a member of the organization; · You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age; · You must have completed our interfaith minister training program with an overall GPA of 70% or better (or completed an M.Div. or comparable seminary program); and · You must agree to, sign, notarize, and submit our code of ethics for ministers. This program is also useful for those that are already ordained through non-traditional churches such as the Universal Life Church (ULC), Universal Ministries, or the Church of Seven Planes, and have not received any minister training. You may request ordination through United Interfaith Ministries, even if you are already ordained through the Universal Life Church (ULC), Universal Ministries, the Church of Seven Planes, or any other established church.

We recommend that you purchase your books as needed based on the course you are taking. That will save you from having to spend a large sum on books up front. Please note that some books are used for more than one course.
Along with the required textbooks, we also recommend purchasing a copy of Merriam-Webster's Encyclopedia of World Religions (ISBN# 0877790442). Though not required for the program, this book is an invaluable reference for those pursuing an Interfaith calling.
In addition to the required textbooks, some of our lessons will cover reference material found online. You will receive specific instructions as to which websites to visit for lessons that involve this online course material. |
